The Annual Big SleepOut 2023 #BigSleepOut2023
Sponsored by Beaverbrooks.
Sleep out and help raise money to support homeless young people in Blackpool
And we’re now open for registrations.
The Big SleepOut returns to Blackpool town centre on Friday 31st March 2023.
Every year over 150 people spend a night sleeping on the street outside our night shelter in St John’s Square, Blackpool to raise awareness and sponsorship to keep our service running.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support us by either sleeping out or donating including our fantastic sponsors for the fourth year running Beaverbrooks The Jewellers.
Families, individuals and businesses
Taking place at St. John’s Square in Blackpool’s town centre, the Big SleepOut raises vital funds to keep our town’s only emergency night shelter open for vulnerable young people aged 16-25.
The vital funds raised during the Big SleepOut go towards the £85,000 annual operating costs to keep this emergency night shelter open all year round, providing accommodation for homeless young people in the town.
We have many families, individuals and businesses that return year after year to continually support us, raising a fantastic £18,500 in 2022.
“By participating with our annual sleepout you’re enabling us to continue supporting over 300 young people and offering 2920 bed spaces per year. Without our service these vulnerable young people would be sleeping rough on the street” Jane Hugo, CEO, Streetlife.
Registrations are now open!
We are now accepting registrations for The Big SleepOut on Friday 31st March 2023*. The number of those sleeping out is limited to 200, so we recommend registering early.
Now’s the time to sign up, grab your sleeping bag and join the Streetlife team for a very rewarding fundraiser that will help hundreds of young people in Blackpool.
Registration costs £10 and you will receive a wrist band, souvenir and survival pack. You’ll need your own sleeping bag, and if you’d like to bring a group of friends* or colleagues so you can take part as a team then that will help raise even more.
We encourage each participant to aim to raise £50 (and more if you are able), so that more young people can receive support. Thank you.
