Podcast series: Community Starts With Home

This series explores themes and issues that affect the daily lives of young people living in the UK. Streetlife is a youth work charity that supports people aged 16-25 in Blackpool and the North West, who may first access the service when experiencing homelessness.

We are passionate about youth empowerment and elevating the voices of young people. In this series of podcasts young people share their own experiences, thoughts on society, barriers they face and how community plays a huge part in this.

Facilitated by local spoken word artist and youth worker Nathan Parker young people share the challenges and barriers they have faced, along with calls for change. It is an eye opening and heartwarming discussion about the reality of finding your way in today’s world and the difference that small acts of kindness can make.

Recorded at Content Creators Blackpool this project was funded by the Lancashire
Crime Commissioner Community Fund.
