It’s been another very exciting month for us at Streetlife, from awards ceremonies to exciting milestones for our young people and so much more!
Attending the ISL Charity Awards
On 3rd September, Rachael, our Day Centre Manager, attended the ISL Charity Awards in Manchester. The ISL awards are an incredible opportunity for colleagues to recognise the people they work alongside and celebrate the commitment, creativity and contribution they see every day.
Throughout the year, ISL fundraises for charities, helping them to continue providing excellent services year-round. This year, they raised £16,877 through various fundraising activities. As a result, Streetlife received a £753 donation, which we are all extremely grateful for.
Thank you to everyone at ISL and to our incredible team!

Stanley Park centenary preparations
On 3rd October 2026, Stanley Park in Blackpool will celebrate its centenary, following its 100th anniversary on 2nd October. The local council has spent significant time and money repairing features such as the historic clock tower, fountains and more.
The Engage4Change team at Streetlife took 3 young people along to help with the centenary preparations at Stanley Park. They helped improve the area and made a real difference by tidying up and restoring various elements of the park.
As part of the centenary event, there will be a Blackpool Maker’s Market, entertainment and an evening drone show.

Young person joins the Army
We are incredibly proud to announce a huge milestone for one of our amazing young people who will be joining the Army following receiving Streetlife support. This is a brilliant example of a young person working towards their goals and taking a positive step in their future. We wish them every success in this new chapter of their lives.
Renaissance team drop-in
On the 18th September, we were joined by the Renaissance Harm Reduction Team, which specialises in community-focused substance use and sexual health services.
They provided support through a drop-in service, giving our young people the opportunity to access information, advice and support on harm reduction in a relaxed, informal setting. They are a North West-based charity, currently operating across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen.
FCMS Health Checks
Streetlife has partnered with FCMS, which has facilitated health checks for our young people and staff.
The checks involve a few simple health tests, as well as asking questions about lifestyle, exercise and habits. Once the health checks were complete, our young people and staff received a score and personalised advice on how to reduce the risk of particular diseases and promote a healthy lifestyle.
September has been another great month for us, with young people getting involved in the community, accessing support and achieving personal milestones. We are proud of everything our young people have accomplished and the opportunities they continue to take.
