Streetlife’s visit to Manchester

On Sunday, the 5th of November, we took a group of young people on a wonderful trip to Manchester. During our trip, we watched the amazing Danny Boyle’s ‘Free Your Mind’ stage show.

All of our young people speak so positively about being able to get out and about on external trips. This show was a true spectacle that we all really enjoyed.

Excursions like this one are only possible due to the support we receive from Comic Relief. Regular grants from Comic Relief allow us to continue supporting the young people who need it most.

Thanks to the support, we can provide vulnerable young people with food, toiletries, skill sessions, and lots more. Skill sessions take place regularly in the Base – a drop-in area for young people to learn and have a chat.

We also have the Shelter. The shelter is available for up to 8 young people to sleep overnight. The shelter gives people their own bedroom and a shared bathroom and kitchen. It is an excellent place for young people to feel safe and cared for. They will have access to hot, healthy food.

To top off our trip to Manchester, Danny Boyle took the time to answer questions and let us know more about the production after the show. It was a great day and the perfect opportunity for our young people to get out!

Massive thank you to Comic Relief for your ongoing support – it means so much to us. Thank you to our fantastic team at Streetlife, who work hard every day to support those who need it the most.
