It has been a busy October at Streetlife in Blackpool, from Harvest donations to Halloween preparation – we’ve been having a great time!
Harvest Festival
We are very blessed to have been chosen to receive Harvest Festival donations from so many local schools and churches.
We rely on these donations to provide food parcels for our young people all year round and hugely appreciate the kind generosity of everyone who contributes. Times are hard for many people right now, and it is heartwarming to see the community still pull together to help us out.
Many volunteers and our young people have been helping us sort the donations once they arrive, which is a massive undertaking! Local individuals and businesses have donated their time to getting everything categorised and stored in date order so they are easily accessible when needed. They say it takes a village to raise a child – it certainly takes a community like ours to support our young people year in, year out.
Thank you so much for your support and donations.
Halloween preparations
Young people have been busy getting our day centre, The Base, ready for Halloween. Everyone enjoyed being involved in creating handmade decorations so that we’re all set for the spooky season. Keep an eye on our social media pages, as I am sure there will be lots of activities happening.
Wishing you all a spooktacular Halloween!
