Streetlife Charity Ball success!

On the 11th of March, the Mayor’s charity ball took place in aid of Streetlife Blackpool. The event was a fantastic opportunity for us to raise money for the amazing young people that use our services. After two years of having no charity ball, it was great to have everyone together again to celebrate what we have achieved at Streetlife.

We raised an incredible £7500 in profit from our ticket sales, raffle and the spectacular Diamond pendant balloon pop donated by Beaverbrooks.

The event, held at Blackpool Football Club, consisted of speeches, dinner, the raffle, and entertainment so guests could dance the night away! We had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people who have supported Streetlife over the years.

We want to say a huge thank you to the headline sponsor of the event, Coastal Radio DAB, who provided fantastic entertainment for all guests attending the ball.

Our support in 2022

Here at Streetlife, we work hard to support young people for many reasons. We support those fleeing dangerous situations and those who have found themselves with no home.

In 2022 alone, we supported 327 vulnerable young people with shelter, drop-in sessions, food parcels, therapy, housing and tenancy support. We have a dedicated team who work hard to create a safe and comfortable environment for all those who need it. None of the support we provide would be possible without our amazing team of staff.

Thanks to the help of the community and fantastic local businesses, we are able to raise money to help even more young people. The charity ball was a perfect example of local support and working together to benefit others.

The amazing £7500 raised will help us to support young people in many ways, including day trips out with lunch included, starter packs for those moving into new properties, and hot meals at the centre.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported this year’s charity ball to raise money for Streetlife. The event was a huge success, with tasty food by Campbell and Rowley, an inspiring speech by Nathan Parker, real-life success stories as a result of Streetlife support, a fantastic hospitality team and beautiful event decoration. An amazing night was had by all involved.

Your support helps young people to lead healthier and happier lives in the local community. You can find out more about the services we provide in The Base and The Night Shelter here.
