Streetlife Blackpool, a youth work charity providing emergency accommodation and support to vulnerable homeless young people, have launched their annual Big Sleepout taking place on Friday 3rd April 2020 sponsored by Beaverbrooks.
#BigSleepOut2020 is Streetlife’s annual fundraising event for supporters of the charity to spend a night sleeping rough on the streets of Blackpool’s town centre to raise vital funds in order to keep their emergency night shelter at St. John’s Square open.
Last year saw the amazing generosity of over 200 people supporting the cause and raising over £43,000 to help towards the running costs of keeping the night shelter open.
Streetlife is a youth work charity whose aim is to assist vulnerable young people in the Blackpool area, established in 1982, Streetlife is an organisation, which assists vulnerable young people in Blackpool, a lot of who access our service as homeless.
The monies raised will be used to provide emergency safe accommodation to homeless young people in their Night Shelter at St. Johns Walk in Blackpool town centre.
This year’s #BigSleepOut2020 will be the organisations largest to date with a limited number of spaces available on the night. The event costs just £10 to sign up and you will receive a Streetlife entry wristband, travel mug and plastic survival sack and will be held outside St. John’s Church at St. John’s Square in Blackpool town centre.

We never cease to be amazed by the public support we receive for this event. It’s heart warming to know that so many people care about the vulnerable young people in our town. The sleepout is our major fundraising event and all proceeds go directly to keeping the Streetlife Nightshelter open.
