Streetlife staff and young people had another successful adventure in the sunshine this week.
After fixing a flat tyre on one of the bikes at first, the group set off to Marton Mere – a lake located to the east of Blackpool – on a 6-mile round trip.
The journey included visits to Stanley Park, Salisbury Woodland, and Heron’s Reach.
Marton Mere is an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), meaning it is a protected area.
This is essential to help conserve the diverse range of species which reside there, primarily birds and waterfowl.
After enjoying some ice cream, everybody spent time bird-watching through purpose-built hides, before making their way back to the Base.
