In the second part of this year’s Summer Outdoor Programme, workers and young people travelled to Beacon Fell, a park located 2 miles south of the Forest of Bowland.
Like Nicky Nook, the last area young people experienced, Beacon Fell offered a view of surrounding areas, assisted by clear skies.
The weather also appeared to be well-received by the local wildlife, with the group spotting a deer in the grass!
Flora and fauna weren’t the only sights, as everybody partook in orienteering, working as a team to find seven points in the area.
Afterwards, there was enough time left in the day to build a giant den from tree branches.
The next outdoor activity takes place on 16th August, mountain biking at Marton Mere, a nature reserve back in Blackpool.
